Hourly rate and potential for overtime vary relative to experience and location. Job openings exist across the U.S. and Canada. Job Type : Full Time, potential for overtime. Pay : $32-$48 per hour depending on skills and experience.
The Ideal Background
- Experience with aerial devices, digger derricks, chippers, cranes; or construction, mining, farm equipment such as excavators, skid steers, dozers or tractors; aircraft and aerospace or ground support equipment (AGE / GSE) or similar
- Previous mechanic and / or equipment service experience
- Education in mechanics, electrical or hydraulic systems
The Job
Perform replacement of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical componentsUtilize all technical support resources (such as operator, parts, and maintenance manuals, HowFactory, etc.) in troubleshooting, determining procedures, and identifying parts needed for repairPerform Unit Condition Inspections and ReportsMaintain work area in a safe, clean, and orderly mannerPerform all tasks in a manner fully consistent with Altec Safety practices and proceduresAdvise supervisors of situations that may impact a customer relationshipProvide accurate and sufficient information on all required documentsDemonstrate Altec Company ValuesAll other duties as assignedThe Requirements
High School Diploma, provincially-approved High School Equivalency, or GEDStrong interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skillsPhysical effort to move objects and tools that may weigh up to 75 pounds; frequent stooping, bending, squatting, and kneelingA high level of dexterityAs needed, provide basic tools per the Altec tool policyDrive motor vehiclesDevelop basic computer skills with Microsoft OfficeAbility to support customer by working overtimeAdvocate safety in everything we do310T Truck and Coach Tech Certification preferredBenefits
