Jack River School is a Nursery to Grade 8 school with 513 students. The school is located in Norway House, Manitoba which is a thriving community situated at the picturesque tip of Lake Winnipeg and the Nelson River.
The community is fully serviced with a hospital, shopping mall, two community recreation complexes, a post-secondary campus, daily air service and asphalt roads.
Qualifications :
Bachelor of Education Degree
Valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate (or eligibility for)
A sound knowledge of provincial Physical Education curricula
Previous Physical Education teaching experience
Willingness to participate in extra-curricular activities
Knowledge of Indigenous Way of Life
Strong classroom management skills
Experience working in a northern community
Experience working with students with unique needs
A commitment to differentiated instruction
A willingness to inquire into best practices and reflect on practices
A team player committed to the belief that all students can learn
Self-motivated
