Our client is a full-service hotel and convention centre in the heart of the Canadian Rocky Mountains, located near Banff, Alberta —a globally recognized resort town just outside Banff National Park. Their property combines well-appointed guest rooms with a multi-sectional ballroom , breakout and meeting rooms , and the ability to host everything from national conferences to multi-day association retreats.
We’re looking for a Group Sales Manager who is ready to take ownership of a defined portfolio and grow it. This role is ideal for a junior-to-intermediate hotel sales professional who has sold hotel rooms, understands group business fundamentals, and wants to build a long‑term career in destination hospitality sales.
The Role
As Group Sales Manager, you’ll be responsible for driving group room and meeting space revenue across a diverse set of accounts, including :
You’ll manage the full sales cycle—from prospecting and lead qualification through contracting, account management, and repeat business development. This is not a “hand-off-and-wait” role. You’ll be expected to understand your clients’ goals and design solutions that use both guest rooms and meeting space effectively.
This is an in‑office role , working closely with operations and events teams. You’ll participate in MS Teams calls, virtual sales trainings, and internal strategy sessions . After one year in the role, there is potential for a hybrid schedule , based on performance and business needs, where you could be based in Calgary or another relatively close location with occasional on‑site visits.
