We have an amazing growth opportunity available for a newer CPA grad if you are willing to relocate to the gorgeous Sunshine Coast of British Columbia.

The Mason Group is honored to have partnered exclusively with our client who is well known to us and definitely a favorite! Reporting to the Director of Finance, the successful applicant will be an integral member of the larger accounting team.
Within a short time frame, you will be tasked with covering for the Controller’s day-to-day responsibilities during a major ERP system implementation.
The longer-term plan for this role is to grow into the Director of Finance role under the incumbent’s mentorship.
An in-depth understanding of accounting rules enables you to play a strong role in the month end and financial reporting process.
A keen interest in technology and process improvements provides you with the aptitude to embrace change and figure out a new & better way to approach an opportunity, or create a solution.
This dynamic role enables you to provide strategic decision support to help drive the future direction and continued growth of this group as they transition into the next stage in their evolution.

Job Requirements :
- A Canadian CPA designation is required
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience either in a CPA firm and / or a full-cycle accounting role in industry
- Advanced level Microsoft Excel skills and an analytical mindset
- Strong technical accounting knowledge. (IFRS, ASPE or PSA)
- An excellent communicator
- An ability to demonstrate critical thinking skills
- A passion for change, and streamlining processes
- Familiarity or strong interest in integrating various financial systems
- A people person who is able to work collaboratively and respectfully at all levels within a diverse work group
