Human Resources Coordinator - 12 month contract, potential for permanent
Reporting to the Senior Human Resources Manager, this role provides day-to-day operational support through acting as the key contact for employee general inquiries and supporting all administration in the department as it relates to all facets of HR.
As a HR Coordinator you will :
- Prepare offer letters and employment documentation in alignment with Ontario legislation and company policies utilizing our internal systems.
- Conduct new hire orientation and ensure all onboarding tasks are completed including all required checklists and administration required for successful integration.
- Maintain the applicant tracking system
- Maintain confidential employee files, including labeling, archiving and retrieving files and ensuring files are complete, including processing any changes (terminations, promotions and status changes) while ensuring ISO compliance standards are met.
- Manage HRIS and ensure completeness and integrity of the corporate HR and payroll systems utilizing ADP Workforce Now, ClearCompany and Cornerstone.
- Participate in and coordinate employee programs, organize events
- Draft and communicate a variety of correspondence, announcements, reports, and supporting documentation within the realm of employee relations, special projects, and HR
- Coordinate full recruitment cycle including job postings, screening, interview scheduling, and reference checks for hourly recruitment.
- Co-ordinate, schedule, and verify various appointments, meetings, and trainings, when needed
- Track any personnel changes in monthly reports
- Survey administration
- Update all necessary communication streams (internal intranet, Cornerstone training) regarding any training, open positions, new employees, company announcements, health & wellness activities, safety information, and legislated postings
- Provide reception backup when needed
We are looking for someone who :
Post Secondary Diploma / Degree in Human Resources Management or related discipline.Minimum of (1) year of HR administration and coordination experience.General knowledge of recruitment & selection, training & development, employee relations, and performance appraisalsGeneral knowledge of Ontario ESA, OHSA, and Human Rights CodeProficient with MS Office and HRIS systems; strong data and record accuracyExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailExceptional communication skills, both verbal and written in EnglishAbility to maintain a high degree of confidentiality when dealing with employee matters & informationCustomer service mindset and relationship-building skillsAbility to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environmentTeam-oriented with a positive approachMust have flexibility to support off shifts occasionally.What we offer you :
Typical pay is $49,000 – 59,000 annually.
