The Service Estimator is responsible for accurately estimating the cost of labour, equipment, and materials for service work.
As well as preparing proposal for equipment repair, replacements, and preventative maintenance agreements.
What you will be doing :
- Communicate with technicians to ensure estimates are accurately detailed including parts, labor and customer requirements;
- Evaluate the accuracy of recommendations, determine possible system issues and opportunities, as well as communicate those findings with the appropriate Territory Manager ;
- Create estimate and proposal templates to improve efficiency, accuracy, and consistency;
- Communicate with Territory Manager(s) to finalize proposals, as per client requirements;
- Collaborate with Sales to prepare accurate estimates and proposals for preventative maintenance opportunities;
- Communicate leads for upgrades, retrofits, and new construction to the Estimating team;
- Work with the Purchase Order Administrator to ensure proper parts are ordered.
What you bring :
- 2+ years’ experience working on mechanical or construction estimates;
- Refrigeration or Plumbing Trades ticket, or Technical Diploma, or post Secondary Degree;
- Experience with estimating software;
- Intermediate to Advanced level of Microsoft Office products with a focus on Excel; and
- Valid Class 5 Drivers License.
