Your new role Reporting to the Vice President, Corporate Development, you will support the corporate development team and the senior management to identify, evaluate, and execute strategic initiatives that align with thepany’s overall objectives.
- The primary focus of this role is to consolidateplex pieces of information into concise and easy to understand presentations and documents to support the decision-making of senior management and the board of directors.
- The role is primarily project-based, and they will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- The work of the Senior Associate falls into the following categories : mergers, acquisitions and divestitures; capital investments, includingernment funding;
corporate strategy; investor relations; and market analysis.
- Developplex financial models to evaluate the feasibility and potential returns of strategic initiatives.
- Provide analysis to support acquisitions, mergers, investments and partnerships.
- Lead aspects ofpany due diligence, including collaborating with cross-functional teams to assess legal, financial and operational aspects of potential transactions.
- Prepare business cases, reports, and presentations for senior management / board of directors.
- Support strategy setting and execution.
- Assist in investor presentation updates and supporting senior management in their responses to investor queries.
- Lead Associates and Co-ops on projects and contribute to their development.
- Prepare and leadparablepany analysis and market research.
- Ad hoc analysis supports the Vice President on various strategic initiatives.
What you will need to succeed A Bachelor’s Degree inmerce, Business, Finance, or similar, is required. CFA, CA, or other similar designation is considered an asset.
Financial modelling skills required, specifically experience in valuation modelling, forecasting, and cost benefit analysis.
A self-starter with a high level of autonomy and accountability. High level of business acumen. Strong written and verbalmunication skills.
MS, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint abilities. Attention to detail. Excellent organizational skills and a strong ability to learn and adapt.
Ability to work on / manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Willingness to learn. Ability to work effectively, independently and with a team.
What you'll get in return This role is a hybrid position; 3 weeks' vacation, 100% paid benefits with maternity leave top-up, the salary range is from $105k - $115k, Bonus, matching RRSP.
