Position Overview
Our client is an Engineering Consultant firm looking for a Project Engineer to join their team in Burnaby, British Columbia.
This is a great opportunity to gain value through working on a variety of multidisciplinary projects.
Further Responsibilities Include :
- Reviewing and developing project objectives
- Developing and defining system performance and facility requirements
- Overseeing project workflow and execution
- Managing client’s expectations
- Developing engineering scopes of work documents
- Co-ordinating and planning project tasks, resources, and activities
- Substantiating designs and concepts
- Controlling and delegating scopes to engineers, designers, and sub-consultants
- Preparing all project documents
- Proactively coordinating with all stakeholders to identify and address problems and bottlenecks
- Controls quality and checks of deliverables and submittals including self-checks
- Site visits to facilities and project sites, required - Completes field designs and assistance during construction
- Continuously steering the project plan based on on-going requirements and findings, while making corrections as needed
Ideal Candidate Experience :
- 7+ years of related experience in mechanical, process, or structural engineering
- Registered as an EIT or P.Eng with EGBC
- Familiarity MS Project and Primavera is preferable
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
