We’re looking for a VR Software Engineer to join our growing team in Victoria. You’ll play a key role in designing and implementing immersive, high-performance VR experiences using Unreal Engine, working across gameplay systems, physics interactions, and platform optimization.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys deep technical problem-solving, collaborating across creative disciplines, and shipping polished interactive experiences.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement interactive gameplay systems in Unreal Engine using C++ and Blueprints
- Develop physics-driven mechanics, object constraints, and VR-specific features
- Build intuitive VR interactions including grabbing, object manipulation, and hand tracking
- Integrate assets from art, animation, and audio teams into functional scenes
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and system bugs
- Optimize projects for standalone VR platforms (Meta Quest, Pico)
- Ensure systems work together seamlessly across departments
- Participate in code reviews and uphold high engineering standards
- Apply best practices to deliver comfortable, responsive, and immersive VR experiences
