TRU seeks an Associate Vice-President Graduate Studies and Research (AVP GSR) . This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated team focused on advancing graduate studies, programs, and faculty and student research.

As a key member of the Senior Academic Leadership team, reporting to the Vice-President Research, the AVP GSR will champion the growth and promotion of TRU’s graduate programs, enhance student research opportunities, oversee all aspects of graduate administration, grow TRU’s research culture and reputation, and provide innovative leadership and administrative expertise within the Office of the Vice-President Research in alignment with institutional goals and objectives.

The AVP will be a staunch advocate for and will bring a demonstrated commitment to Truth and Reconciliation.

The successful candidate will possess an earned doctorate, a track record of academic leadership in graduate studies, a record of research excellence, and be appointable at the rank of Full Professor at TRU.

They must bring a deep commitment to, and support of, excellence in research, programs, graduate administration, the graduate student community, strategic enrolment management, student and faculty relationships, and student supervision.

They will bring expertise and passion for the broad range of disciplines at TRU. Finally, the AVP must be highly collegial and collaborative, have superb communications skills, bring excellent networks (nationally and internationally), and have a strong orientation to relationship building, both inside the university and externally.

A competitive compensation package will be provided including an attractive base salary and excellent benefits. Further details will be discussed in a personal interview.

The salary range is $189,287 to $213,981.
