Position Summary

We currently have an exciting opportunity for you to bring your excellent work ethic to our Volunteer Services department.

As a part of the Northern Health Volunteer Resource team, the Engagement Lead, Volunteer Resources is responsible for the development, maintenance and administration of volunteer resources, including recruitment, screening, orientation, training, and placement of volunteers.

The Engagement Lead consults on the daily human operation plans for volunteer programs and promotes and further develops volunteer resources and placement opportunities through internal and community engagement.

Establishes and maintains working relationships, conducts needs assessments, assists with set up and evaluation of volunteer programs, recruits and trains volunteers and coordinates their placement.

Acts as a resource for on-site staff and management who supervise and oversee volunteers on-site, to ensure safe and productive volunteer activity as well as compliance with organizational policies relevant to volunteers.

Starting salary will be approximately from $67,861 to $84,826 and will be based on education, training, experience, and salaries of similar positions.

This position is flexible to the Northwest Northern Health region, preference for those located in Terrace. Explore these communities northern communities.

Qualfications

  • Bachelor's degree in Administration, Social Sciences, Education, Health Sciences, or related field.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years' recent related experience.
  • Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Skills and Abilities :

  • Demonstrated administration and human resource coordination skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to provide guidance and direction to others.
  • Ability to deal with others effectively.
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
  • Ability to supervise, and provide motivation and encouragement to volunteers.
  • Ability to organize and plan work.
  • Demonstrated ability to productively use a computer and technology.
