Knix is looking for a Senior Manager, Business Development! This candidate will play a crucial role in developing business cases and leading the actual development projects to grow our sales in new and emerging markets and product expansion.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in business development, market development, sales, marketing, and growth strategy.

This role will focus on North America and Western Europe and will report to the leadership team at Knix. This role reports to the VP, of Strategy & Business Development (executive leadership).

The Opportunity

  • Assessment, execution, and governance of a portfolio of business and market development projects primarily in North America and Europe.
  • Responsible for leading market development projects from planning, execution, and closure, ensuring proper project handover to local teams
  • Lead the international expansion efforts of Knix into new emerging markets and product expansion.
  • Drive the development and launch of new product categories, including a new men’s line, ensuring alignment with Knix’s overall strategic goals.
  • Identify and seize new market opportunities to fuel growth and enhance brand presence.
  • Leading cross-functional project teams with clear guidelines, tasks, and milestones while motivating and providing feedback.
  • Providing effective contact, follow-up, and communication with the Knix leadership team regularly.
  • Effective budget management for multiple projects.
  • Negotiating and closing agreements with internal and external ecosystems (new partners, distributors, channels, etc.).

About You

  • You have a strong bias for action and an entrepreneurial spirit, with the ability to think strategically and execute strategies.
  • You are a fast learner with a can-do attitude and a problem-solving mindset.
  • You have a flexible leadership style, able to influence at all levels both internally and externally through coaching, facilitation, and cross-functional teamwork.
  • You have experience in a fast-paced, target-driven sales environment with evidence of consistent and current success.
  • You are consumer / customer-focused and have proven negotiation and commercial experience.
  • You possess excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail, with multiple project management skills.
  • Above all, you’re proactive, positive, and inspired by Knix and our mission.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of progressive experience with any combination of experience in business development, market development, sales, marketing, and / or growth strategy.
  • Fluent in English and French is a nice to have
  • Strong business acumen with a solid understanding of financial principles (financial expertise is a plus but not a requirement).
  • Proven experience leading international expansion projects and launching new product categories.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing business development strategies that drive significant growth.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional stakeholders and competing priorities.
