About the Role

Reporting to the Director, Payroll, the Manager, Human Resources Services will oversee and optimize the delivery of HR services within a shared services framework.

The role involves leading and managing a team of HR professionals, collaborating with key stakeholders, and ensuring service excellence and customer satisfaction.

The role also entails improving and standardizing HR processes and workflows, leveraging technology solutions, managing external vendors and service providers, and ensuring compliance and risk management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize HR service delivery processes within a shared services framework.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of HR services such as payroll processing, employee onboarding, offboarding, and employee data management.
  • Create and monitor service levels and key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure service excellence and compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Lead and manage a team of HR professionals responsible for delivering shared services to internal clients in Canada and the United States (US).
  • Continuously evaluate and improve HR service delivery processes to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, digitalization, and implementation of self-service tools to streamline HR service delivery.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including HR business partners, managers and senior leadership, to understand their needs and expectations for HR services.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers supporting HR service delivery, ensuring adherence to service agreements and quality standards.
  • Ensure HR service delivery practices comply with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Utilize HR analytics and reporting tools to track key performance metrics, identify trends, and generate insights for decision-making.

Knowledge and Experience Required

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in human resources or related field.
  • Strong understanding of Canadian and US HR laws.
  • A minimum of 5 years proven experience in HR service delivery management and shared services oversight.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience leading a team.
  • Exceptional communication skills and stakeholder engagement abilities with an ethical mindset.
  • Knowledge of HR processes, policies, and regulations.
  • Experience with HR analytics and reporting tools.
  • Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to identify and implement process improvements and standardization initiatives.
  • Experience with UKG (HRIS) is considered a strong asset.

Note : Offices continue to be central to collaboration and Brookfield's identity. This position requires the employee to be on-site for a minimum of 3 days to perform most effectively.
