The Company :

OSL (Outsourced Sales Leadership) was established in 2012 in Mississauga, Ontario, to provide clients with customized designed sales solutions in retail, direct sales, merchandising and customer acquisition.

About the role :

At OSL we are excited to partner with The Water Street Collective (TWSC) to develop the Ryde brand in Canada. The Ryde product you see today was created by a team of mums, dads, working professionals, weekend warriors, hobbyists, and adventure-seekers.

These same individuals also happen to be brand marketers, product developers, and salespeople all working for TWSC to create feel-good products for everyone.

We are looking for an Activation Executive to focus on leveraging both digital and experiential platforms to enhance our brand's presence and consumer engagement.

This role requires a blend of creativity, analytical skills, and a good understanding of digital marketing tools and trends, along with strategic and operational planning for activations.

The Activation Executive is responsible for leading and innovating the company's activation efforts, ensuring a cohesive and impactful brand presence both offline and online.

The role focuses on strategizing and executing experiential activations, retail engagement, POSM optimization, and developing guidelines that help boost awareness and brand visibility.

Additionally, it involves driving consumer engagement across key channels and building robust marketing financial modelling that will allow us to optimize our efforts as we expand our footprint.

What you’ll do :

  • Plan and execute XM events, in-store activations, and consumer engagement, ensuring alignment with brand objectives and deliverables.
  • Optimize retail communication and messaging, building awareness through effective communication frameworks.
  • Design develop POSM that allow chilled and ambient placement, ensuring optimal brand visibility and consistency.
  • Create and establish merchandising guidelines, ensuring global brand integrity.
  • Drive consumer engagement across all channels, with a focus on trial activations whilst leveraging Digital Tools.
  • Identify and develop new channels, and grow existing ones to maximize market reach and engagement.
  • Help Support implementation of digital marketing strategies, leveraging tools like Salesforce Service Cloud, Google Analytics and CRM.
  • Support on e-commerce platforms, focusing on enhancing online sales and consumer engagement.
  • Help with external agencies and vendors for executing digital marketing initiatives and leveraging new technologies.
  • Regularly report on campaign performance, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Set a high standard of excellence, motivating the team to achieve ambitious results. Foster a culture of excellence within the Canadian team by applying best practices in digital marketing and e-commerce, benchmarking against top-notch customer engagement strategies, and providing coaching and development opportunities within the Agile Framework.
  • Focus on developing the skills and competencies of the team members, specifically in areas related to digital marketing and e-commerce.

Encourage continuous learning and application of new strategies and tools, ensuring the team remains at the forefront of digital activation trends.

What you’ve done :

Experience in the CPG industry or with Natural Health Products (NHPs). This includes familiarity with market trends, consumer behavior, regulatory standards, and product lifecycle management in these sectors.

Experience in launching new products, understanding the unique marketing needs of CPG. Experience in NHP or beverage industry is a plus.

  • Experience with Salesforce Service Cloud or similar CRM tools.
  • Strong skills in data analysis, preferably with knowledge of Google Analytics and SQL is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, Experience in working in Agile methodology is beneficial. Familiarity with tools such as ADO, Trello, Slack.
  • Proficient Use of MS Office
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire a team, setting high standards and achieving stretch goals.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with global teams, aligning local strategies with global objectives.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively articulating strategies and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with an innovative and creative approach to overcoming challenges.
  • Commitment to team development, coaching, and mentoring, with a focus on nurturing digital marketing expertise within the team.
