Responsibilities
The Communications Assistant schedules and provides infant / child hearing screening, conducts client therapy sessions and prepares and delivers community activities for preschool children.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education or equivalent preferred
- Preferred Knowledge in the development of language and Communication Disorders
- Practical knowledge and experience in parenting, child development, and helping families cope with a variety of challenges
- Good interpersonal skills; caring, supportive, and non-judgmental attitude
- Ability to work independently and part of a team
- Good organizational and problem‑solving skills with demonstrated ability to deal with.
- Ability to apply basic to intermediate computer and clerical skills to maintain accurate electronic records, perform tasks accurately, effectively and efficiently
- Must have strong spoken and written communication skills
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel required
- Sensitive to cultural diversity
