General Accountabilities
The applicants will be responsible to safely float off-road equipment to specified locations across the Province of Ontario
Ensures that truck is loaded in such a manner as to make maximum use of available space and that load is evenly distributed and secure.
Take direction from our scheduling department to fulfill floating and Pole setting operations request from our trade groups
Safely and efficiently deliver on time and keep in contact with the scheduling group when changes occur & upon completion of the delivery.
At times you will be required to stay with the piece of equipment and assist the trade group
Obtain proper Municipal & or Regional permits to haul different sizes and weights of loads
Keep accurate logs and comply with all Hydro One and MTO rules and regulations
Follow Hydro One Code of conduct & expectations set out by Management
Use computers and smart phones for business purposes, training, expense management and communication
There will / may be a requirement to work away from home for extended periods
Assists tradesperson or crew in the performance of their normal duties.
Performs any other duty within the intent of the Preamble to the Occupational Definition.
Selection Criteria :
Must have and keep a valid AZ Ontario Drivers License
Must be able to perform proper safety checks prior to operating Hydro One equipment
Must have a good knowledge of operating tracked equipment safely
Previous experience operating a large escavator would be an asset
