TRAINING OPPORTUNITY - CEA In-House Certification Program

School District No. 73 is offering a Certified Education Assistant (CEA) In-House Certification Program ("CIC Program"). The part‑time program runs from February 2, 2026 to August 28, 2026, and includes approximately 347 instructional hours and 100 practical hours. Courses are delivered through a combination of synchronous online instruction and asynchronous self‑directed studies, with occasional in‑person certification training in Kamloops. All practicum will be conducted in School District No. 73 schools.

Program dates and structure :

• Tuesdays and Thursdays : synchronous online learning from 4 : 30 pm to 8 : 00 pm
• Saturdays : alternating self‑directed online learning days and in‑person certification training for 6.5 hours, generally commencing at 8 : 30 am
• Practicum will be held at various elementary and secondary schools during regular school hours, Monday through Friday, for two separate 2‑week durations. Exact start and end times will depend on the schedule at the host school.

The CIC Program curriculum aligns with BC’s EA Competency Framework.
