We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Lead Mechanical Engineer- Mining and Metals  who will join our Mechanical Resources Team. In collaboration with the greater Energy and Resources team this role will be called upon to assume responsibility for a multitude of multidisciplinary projects primarily in the Mining sectors. Initially this position will be leading a regional group focused on the Mining and metals sector across Western Canada.

Primary Responsibilities

• Act as mechanical manager for medium and large-scale studies and projects including direct supervision of engineers designers and project team stakeholders.
• Actively participate in the design and development of plans and specifications for equipment such as crushers screens conveyors hoppers transfer chutes rotary kilns etc.
• Actively participate in the design of material handling crushing plants hydrometallurgical processes and concentrators such as floatation leaching filtration solvent extraction and even tailings filtration and processing.
• Ensure multidisciplinary coordination to establish plant layouts in accordance with industry standards and best practices established by our customers.
• Deliver mechanical engineering according to the established scope estimated hours planned dates and expected quality in accordance with company standards.
• Act as a mentor within industrial mechanics team.
• Influence the execution plan for brownfield projects to align with existing site constraints and project objectives.
