Our client seeks an outstanding Director of Sales for their first-class branded property in Halifax. The ideal candidate will be responsible for strategic revenue targeting, leading and developing a team of professional salespeople.
You will be totally responsible for generating top line revenue to meet or exceed budget expectations. The individual will have the ability to develop a sound and progressive sales plan, participate and coordinate all key sales initiatives including sales blitzes, familiarization trips, client events and US / Canada tradeshows.
She / he must also be Internet savvy and keep abreast of current branded and none market trends in the industry. Candidates must demonstrate a comprehensive approach in obtaining and maintaining priority list of high-end accounts and the focus will be on cultivating relationships, building business, providing a stable and positive work environment for the team to achieve budgeted goals.
Ability to quickly evaluate situations and alternatives and decide on a plan of action is a must. You will be responsible for driving the achievement of the monthly / annual bookings, revenue goals and company objectives.
Should have at least 7 years sales experience, preferably with an international luxury brand / independent property. Obtained bachelor's degree or diploma in Sales, Marketing, Hotel Management or Business.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and solid budgetary knowledge and skills. The candidate should have a proven track record of success and be currently a Director of Sales.
Preference will be given to candidates who have outstanding sales experience in a 5 star resort / hotel property. This position reports to the General Manager.
