As a Fire Protection Solutions Product Developer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.

Here, you will make an impact by :

  • Developing products to drive growth
  • Working on new technologies and transforming into new product platforms
  • Participating on multi-functional teams and assisting to build ideation hoppers and implement projects
  • Support and provide expertise / consulting when required on Product Change Management Initiatives

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
  • Five (5) years of experience in formulating and designing composites, adhesives, sealants, and fire stopping products within private, public, government, or military environment.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include :

  • Ph.D. or M.Sc. degree in Polymer / Materials / Chemistry in either Science or Engineering from an accredited institution
  • Past experience in working with third party standards and specifications
  • Past experience in designing and / or running fire-stopping product testing and knowledge of systems and assemblies certification
  • Skills include strong acumen for problem-solving, communication, teamwork, innovation and commercialization mindset

3M Headquarters in Woodbury, MN or London, ON

Travel : May include up to 10% domestic / international

Relocation Assistance : May be authorized
