Purpose
The Operations Supervisor (Guest Safety, First Aid & Aquatics Support) is responsible for supervising essential operational functions across the park, with a primary focus on guest safety, first aid response, access control, and general operations. A key responsibility of this role is to support the Aquatics department through oversight, coaching, and emergency response. The Operations Supervisor ensures daily operational excellence, coordinates incident management, and maintains high guest service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide on-site supervision of daily park operations including First Aid, Access Control, Security support, and general Operations Hosts.
- Act as the on-scene leader during medical emergencies, safety incidents, or operational disruptions until advanced resources arrive.
- Conduct daily briefings to communicate safety updates, operational priorities, and staffing needs.
- Manage guest concerns, behavior issues, and service escalations within their authority.
- Respond to ride downtime or operational incidents and communicate effectively with guests and staff.
- Ensure accurate completion of incident reports, daily logs, first aid documentation, and safety-related paperwork.
- Support Access Control and Security staff in policy enforcement, guest screening, and incident prevention.
- Ensure compliance with Ontario labour laws, Peel Public Health requirements, and park policies.
- Provide supervisory support to the Aquatics department during peak periods, emergencies, and staffing shortages.
- Assist with aquatic safety monitoring, rotation oversight, and guest incident management when assigned to aquatic zones.
- Participate in Aquatics training delivery, including emergency simulations and refresher modules.
- Support Aquatics leadership in ensuring lifeguard performance standards, uniform compliance, and certification maintenance.
- Assist with attraction downtime response and guest communication for water attractions.
- Aquatics certification ( National Lifeguard is an asset and may be required during certain shifts ).
- Assist in delivering in‑park training modules (emergency response, guest service standards, operational procedures).
- Coach and mentor team members across Operations and Aquatics to maintain safety and service excellence.
- Help develop new processes and training content for emergency response, guest service, and operational efficiency.
- Monitor team member appearance, professionalism, and adherence to park standards.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas and ensure equipment is secured and turned off at closing.
- Track operational and medical supply inventories; notify management before shortages occur.
- Help maintain budget discipline through effective staff deployment and break management.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by management in support of park-wide operations.
