The primary function of a Production Operator is to perform a variety of major set ups, processing, fabrication, assembly, inspection, finishing, cleaning, welding, testing and rework on product. As well as various support duties associated with the manufacturing and shipment of product. The operator must also be capable of learning manual skills, work to drawings and procedures and keep accurate records.
Core Duties / Responsibilities :
- Manufacture the products according to assigned documentation, with a high degree of workmanship.
- Tasks include : swaging, drawing, x-raying, etching and the use of a vacuum bake out oven.
- Receive oral and written instructions and perform the task per those instructions and procedures.
- Operate manufacturing equipment to supply assembled or sub –assembled products and perform inspection checks to ensure conformance with quality standards and customer requirements.
- Assemble, measure, test, mark, inspect and pack assemblies and sub-assemblies as required.
- Fabricate various assemblies and components by following and interpreting specifications to meet all quality standards.
- Set up and operate equipment required to perform a variety of in-process, final or special tests to inspect, classify or verify that the product meets customer requirements, specifications and quality standards.
- Work alone or with peers, maintaining appropriate behavioural conduct per the guidelines in the employee manual.
Other Responsibilities :
Suggest ways to improve processes, procedures or product quality to the Manufacturing Manager or the Engineering Manager.Evaluate engineering prototypes to help determine possible manufacturing difficulties or potential problems.Maintain a clean and tidy work area, including legible and complete records.Comply with all safety procedures.Perform other related duties as assigned.Responsibilities – Safety & Quality :
