The Role :

The Senior Data Analyst is an integral part the Innovation team, responsible for maintaining current dashboards and developing new dashboards, charts, and visual aids to analyze data and enable decision making.

This includes data profiling and analysis, data cleansing and quality review, and the development of ETL packages for Data transformation, where required.

This role also supports data literacy at Farm Mutual Re, offering expertise and support in developing a program which supports overall learning and development in data literacy.

The successful candidate can expect to :

  • Prepare and deliver current annual, semi-annual, quarterly, and monthly reports for internal and external partners
  • Develop new data dashboards, charts, and visual aids to support decision making
  • Proactively analyze data to answer key questions from internal or external partners, growing and building an understanding of what drives business performance
  • Assist with the design, development and monitoring of data pipelines, transformations and / or data modelling, including constructing ETL packages for Data Transformation and Integration between different applications
  • Support the creation of templates and documentation, including a data dictionary and data catalogue, and other templates as required
  • Participate in data literacy initiatives at the company, offering expertise and support in developing a program which supports overall learning and development in data literacy.

Your Skills and Qualifications :

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering or a related field.
  • You have at least 5 years of experience as a Data Analyst experience with a strong foundation in data modelling & analytics
  • Experience with data languages such as SQL, Python, R and Excel
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Qlik, PowerBI and Tableau
  • Exceptional analytical abilities to compile, structure, examine, analyze, and present datasets
  • Solid understanding of SDLC and Agile Frameworks
  • Proven analytic skills, including data mining, evaluation, analysis, and visualization
  • Prior experience with database and model design and segmentation techniques
