What You’ll Do
- Provide attentive, non-medical care according to each client’s Plan of Care
- Offer companionship through conversation, reading, activities, and social engagement
- Support emotional well-being and mental alertness
- Perform light housekeeping (vacuuming, dusting, laundry, cleaning bathrooms, etc.)
- Prepare meals
- Observe and report changes in a client’s physical, emotional, or mental condition
- Maintain clear, professional communication with clients, and team members
- Complete required documentation accurately and on time
- Participate in training, staff meetings, and ongoing education
- Maintain strict confidentiality and use equipment safely
- Perform other related duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For
High school diploma (minimum requirement)Valid CPR & First Aid certification (or willingness to maintain)Vulnerable Sector Police Records Check (renewed annually)Ability to pass all required background checks, including criminal, driving (if applicable), and reference checksWillingness to participate in random drug and alcohol testingReliable transportation and a valid driver’s license with insurance is always a bonus!Dependable, punctual, and committed to client careAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionStrong communication skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructionsA genuine passion for helping others, with high standards of honesty and integrityAll successful candidates must complete the Comfort Keepers training and orientation program.
Physical & Working Environment
