Our client is an investment management firm. They are looking for a Senior Tax Analyst who will be responsible for the preparation of tax and related compliance requirements including the needs of various internal and external stakeholders.

Tax Compliance
- Prepare partnership and corporate income tax and information returns / elections for relevant Funds and management entities in accordance with Canadian tax rules.
- Organize, prepare and document tax related files and supporting working papers.
- Review any externally prepared Canadian / US partnership and / or corporate returns.
- Prepare FATCA and CRS annual filings.
- Review corporate HST returns and partnership SLFI returns.
- Liase with Canada Revenue Agency and related provincial ministries on tax matters. Tax Planning
- Assist with Fund and Corporate M&A tax planning, as necessary.
- Manage the monthly / quarterly / annual provisions, installments and filing deadlines and processes of tax compliance.
- Liaise with the external auditors for annual tax provisions.
- Prepare, monitor and forecast safe income and partnership ACB balances
- Forecast, evaluate and recommend tax efficient distribution / dividend payments.
- Provide quarterly tax review of internally prepared financial statements.
- Collaborate with tax advisors and conduct tax research, planning and prepare necessary memos, reports and recommendations on relevant strategies, alternatives and other relevant subject matters. Operations and Reporting
- Co-ordinate with Operations team on investor details needed for tax compliance.
- Assist Finance / Accounting team members with preparation and review of financial statements, corporate reporting and other duties and projects, as necessary.
- Provide support to the senior members of tax and other departments as needed
- Participate in special projects as required. About You
- Professional Accounting Designation required.
- At least 4 years of experience preparing and reviewing Canadian Income Tax
- Completion of CPA In-depth Tax Program. Salary Range
$100,000 - $110,000 / year
