Our publicly traded Canadian manufacturing client, is looking to hire a Tax Manager for their head office in Guelph. This individual will have 2 direct reports and get the chance to help develop their skills and mentor them. You will manage all Canadian tax compliance, provision, forecasting, audit defense, tax planning, tax filing (Canadian), coordinate US tax filing and administrative matters.

Responsibilities :
Canadian tax compliance requirements including corporate tax filings, non-resident transaction reporting, foreign affiliate reporting, FAPI, country-by-country reporting, and surplus computations.
Manage quarterly tax provision reporting for the global group, annual consolidated tax provision reporting, and financial statement note disclosures.
Monitor tax accounts for financial reporting purposes to ensure activity and balances are reconciled and appropriately reflect the Company’s tax position.
Attend to tax specific inquiries and manage / respond to Canadian corporate tax audit issues and queries.
Assist external service providers with coordinating US tax compliance
Assist in the coordination of cash repatriation and financing strategies, as well as transfer pricing analysis and documentation requirements.
Qualifications :
CPA designation or In-Depth Tax course strongly preferred
5+ years of Canadian corporate income tax experience, either from public accounting and dealing with international clients OR from a large global company coming from industry
Understanding of IFRS for tax accounting
Working knowledge of Canada’s tax rules - foreign affiliates, scientific research / experimental development and profit repatriation issues.
