Summary

This position is ideal for creative, enthusiastic teachers who value a flexible, individualized approach to education from a Christian perspective. Applicants should be elementary specialists (K–7) and enjoy learning about curricula that support varied learning styles. Applicants will work from home and must be comfortable communicating with families and students through online learning management systems and Zoom visits (2–4 times a year). Strong relational and organizational skills are essential.

Temporary Position to Cover Sick Leave.

Qualifications – Education And / Or Training

Home Learning Support Teachers (HLSTs) must be certified by the B.C. Teachers Regulation Branch or the Office of the Inspector of Independent Schools. Applicants must be Christian and must agree with RCOA’s Statement of Faith.

Experience

Experience and education related to working with students in Online Learning is an asset but not required.

Salary

$12,430–$20,847 per year for the part‑time position of 0.25 FTE.
