This role oversees preventive and corrective maintenance programs, supports plant production goals, and ensures compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements. Job Description : Supervise and coordinate the activities of maintenance technicians, mechanics, and contractors to complete repairs, installations, and preventive maintenance tasks.* Ensure all maintenance work is performed in compliance with company safety policies, chemical handling procedures, and regulatory standards (OSHA, WHMIS, etc.).* Plan, prioritize, and schedule maintenance activities to minimize production downtime.* Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues, including pumps, valves, piping systems, compressors, electrical systems, and instrumentation.* Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and equipment history using a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).* Monitor spare parts inventory and coordinate with purchasing to ensure critical components are available.* Participate in root cause analysis for equipment failures and recommend improvements to increase reliability and efficiency.* Train and mentor maintenance staff on safe work practices, troubleshooting, and technical skills.* Support capital projects, equipment upgrades, and facility modifications as needed.* Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to improve equipment performance and reliability.* Perform periodic audits and inspections on a daily / weekly / monthly / yearly as directed by the site maintenance program and maintain records.
