HSE Coordinator

Position : HSE Coordinator

Location : Sudbury, ON

Salary : $75,000 - $85,000 Yearly

Industry : Construction / Health and Safety / IHSA / WSIB

Employment Term : Full Time / Permanent

Roles & Responsibilities :

• Responsible for ensuring compliance with all HSE related regulations
• Responsible for site level implementation of all regulations along with ensuring a safe working environment
• Managing relationships with all internal and external members
• Being up to date with regulations and industry practices
• Responsible for performing daily audits for identifying and controlling any hazards
• Investigate all incidents and perform the necessary steps to avoid further occurrence in the future
• Ensure all workplace injuries are reported within required timeframes
• Complete incident reports as needed
• Travel and visit sites as required
• Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications & Experience :

• Post secondary education in occupational health and safety or equivalent
• 3-5 years of experience in a HSE role that involved managing, planning and implementation of HSE requirements
• Experience in Civil construction preferred
• Strong working knowledge of OH&S Acts and other applicable legislation
• Familiar with investigation and auditing techniques (COR / ISO)
• Experienced with WSIB reporting and IHSA COR requirements
• NCSO certification is preferred
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proficient in Microsoft applications.
• Position requires traveling to multiple locations, valid driver’s license required
