Overview
On Call Math & Science Tutor sought by Oxford Learning Centres Inc. (New Westminster, BC). This part-time role supports Gr6-12 math and science tutoring with in-centre and online teaching, following Oxford Learning methodologies.
Responsibilities (Position Details)
- Teach up to 3 students at a time, at different levels, in-person and online
- Follow the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies
- Fill in post-lesson notes and complete daily student communication updates
- Maintain a friendly, professional demeanor at all times

Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field (fourth-year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered)Teaching certification is an assetStrong knowledge of Grades 1-12 math and science curricula, including senior math (Advanced Functions, algebra, trigonometry, calculus) and science subjects (vectors, physics, chemistry, biology)Experience teaching / tutoring math and science at a Grade 1-12 levelStrong English communication skills and ability to guide student understandingRequirements
Available during after-school and evening hours (3 : 00pm – 8 : 00pm) and some Saturdays and SundaysIn-person role; ability to commute to New Westminster location; relocation not providedVulnerable sector screening is mandatoryJob Details
