RBL A / C is a leading HVAC distribution company with almost 20 years of experience within Quebec. It deals with such brands as Sharp, Haxxair, Honeywell, DCA Commercial, Lifebreath Commercial & Residential and many more.
These partnerships are a testament to RBL A / C’s quality of service and drive. Currently, it has three operational locations within Quebec and after consecutive year-on-year growth, they are looking to expand its distribution services and operations East, into Atlantic Canada.
About the Role :
The Sales & Operations Director Atlantic will be in charge of building out the Atlantic business. A key metric for success will be Business Development and it will require a high percentage of outside sales activity in the first instance.
Ideally, the incumbent will already have professional local relationships to leverage.
Starting as a fully remote worker, the successful candidate will have the rare opportunity to help with every stage of the operations build.
This includes but is not limited to, locating and acquiring a suitable office location, creating a strategy and process that works for this region and aligns with RBL A / C’s values, and eventually hiring a team as RBL A / C Atlantic grows!

- Developing key growth sales strategies, tactics and action plans.
- Researching, analyzing and setting price points to maximize sales and maintain healthy profit margins.
- Identifying opportunities by keeping track of competitor activity.
- Maintaining sales records and design reports to ensure that the data collected is being utilized effectively.
- Increasing and maximizing new business development potential.
- Creating strategic plans to align sales with business objectives.
- Working with profit targets to execute sales plans.
- Forecasting quarterly.
- Serving as a figurehead at business events, conferences, and other networking avenues.
- Assessing customer needs and resources.
- Provide customers with accurate information regarding pricing, inventory and delivery times.
- Support entrepreneurs at the technical level on the function and execution of products.
- Receive, advise and respond to customer requests.
- Provide all relevant information to customers related to their needs.
- Seek out emerging technologies and products that will enhance our offerings.
Requirements :
- Undergraduate Degree, Diploma in engineering, or hands-on technical experience within HVAC.
- Minimum of 10 years experience in the Atlantic HVAC industry.
- In-depth knowledge of operational processes, technology, and client management.
- Knowledge of contract law.
- Strong time management, reporting, prioritization, and follow-up skills.
- A contact list of professional relationships to leverage.
- A track record of delivering sales growth and experience in negotiating high-value equipment supply contracts.
- In-depth knowledge of operational processes, technology and people management techniques.
- Knowledge of Commercial / contract law.
- Proven experience in conflict resolution skills and effective negotiating skills.
- Production to support deliveries and resolve issues that may arise.
- Strong time management, reporting, prioritization and follow-up skills.
- Strong computer software skills (word and Excel), combined with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Working Conditions :
- Travel will be required.
- Remote in the first instance.
- It is a full build, you will be employee number one in Atlantic Canada.
