Location : Surrey, BC - Full-time, in-office position with no remote work option

Responsibilities
- Manage and process a high volume of freight payables and general company expenditures.
- Ensure all invoices are posted by the cut-off time and match with purchase orders (POs).
- Reconcile transactions to confirm invoices are paid before processing vendor payments.
- Set up payments, new vendors, and handle cheque runs, ACH runs, and wire payments.
- Handle on-the-spot freight payment requests and ensure seamless batch processing.
- Organize and archive paperwork in both physical and electronic formats.
- Cross-train in accounting assistant tasks, data entry, and credit card transactions.
- Manage multi-entity and multi-currency transactions and journal entries in the G / L.
- Meeting daily payment deadlines and processing 30-50 invoices per day, predominantly freight.
- Handling more complex general invoices and maintaining accuracy in a high-volume environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of Accounts Payable experience, preferably in a multi-company environment.
- Strong understanding of freight payables and PO systems.
- Intermediate Excel skills, including V-Lookup functions.
- Familiarity with general ledger and expense accounts.
- Willingness to work in-office from 7 : 30 AM to 4 : 00 PM, Monday to Friday (no remote work).
