Contracts Specialist

As a Contracts Specialist, you will be working on defense proposals and contracts, as well as export compliance and security administration.

Relocation assistance for selected candidates.

Your Challenge :

Under the guidance of the Manager, Contracts you will assist in the review of proposal terms and conditions

Assist in the negotiation of proposals to bring to contract award

Assist in the review of any contract change proposals

A high attention to detail is required to ensure accuracy of our contracts and the comprehension and interpretation of terms and conditions

Establish business relationships with executives, managers, employees, customers, vendors and subcontractors

Support the Manager, Contracts with Security clearance and Controlled Goods requirements

Accurate and timely export application process using the Canadian Government’s EXCOL system

Support the export control classification of products and technical documentation under Canadian export regulations and / or US export regulations

What You Bring :

Interpret contracts to assist Program Managers and to create flow down for vendors or subcontractors

Analyze and interpret legal documents, regulations, laws, and industry standards

Team player with a strong customer orientation, including a win-win philosophy in dealing with customers.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred

3+ years of related work experience, preferably within aerospace, naval or defense industry

Knowledge of FAR / DFAR / SACC provisions an asset

Knowledge of CGP and CDN export, US extra-territorial export regulations an asset

Knowledge of Contract Security Program an asset
