About the role
The Junior Analyst, Technical Services provides Elections BC (EBC) staff and users with Tier 1 and 2 problem resolution. The Junior Analyst will be the EBC point‑person for coordination and expertise in installing, testing, tuning, upgrading and maintaining desktop and shared system software and hardware. During major electoral events, the staff complement could grow to 2,000, requiring configuration, installation and integration services with tight operational deadlines.
Our ideal applicant for this position is an individual who can calmly and effectively support colleagues with their technical needs (initial setup, respond to technical barriers, and provide time‑sensitive solutions), quickly decipher needs, provide support, and work with employees across all classifications. This person will hold a high degree of personal integrity and pride in their knowledge, with an understanding of technology, the ability to course‑correct, and work effectively as part of a technical team.
