Tank farm labourer (Evening shift)
GFL is looking for Labourers (Tank Farm Technicians) for our Napanee, Ottawa location.
Must be able to work evening shift from 4pm-12 : 30am (training period will alternate between day and evening shifts). There is an on-call requirement every 3 weeks from Monday to the following Monday of that week.
Job Responsibilities :
- Variety of in-shop work;
- General House Keeping and Facility Maintenance;
- Receiving / Organizing / Processing incoming and outgoing loads;
- Dip and sample of the bulk tanks;
- Pumping of containers (drums & totes);
- Sampling, dumping and decontamination of trucks;
- Tank cleaning;
- Assisting in Water Treatment processes;
- Entering Confined Spaces;
- Working Indoors and Outdoors, in all weather conditions;
Manual / physical labour and repetitive tasks.
Knowledge, Skills and Competencies :
- Professional and positive attitude;
- Motivation to ensure timelines and expectations are met;
- Strong regard for safety and safe work practices;
- Forklift experience an asset, willing to train;
G class driver’s licence in good standing with a clean driver’s abstract (an asset).
Must be clean shaven in order to wear a mask
