Job Description
Our construction client is currently seeking an HR Manager for a 12-Month contract opportunity! The ideal candidate will have experience with the management of the daily functions of the HR team and providing guidance to managers and employees on HR policies and procedures.
This is a fully on-site position in the east end of Ottawa and offers free parking. Responsibilities :
- Oversee and assist with the recruitment function including employer branding, development of job postings and interviews.
- Develop and manage on-boarding processes to ensure the effective integration of new employees.
- Develop and implement corporate policies and procedures, in accordance with all relevant legislation and provide coaching and guidance to employees and management.
- Bring forward suggestions, and recommendations on types of HR programs that would benefit the organization.
- Develop and maintain human resource information and metrics within the the HRIS to assess, measure and report on the effectiveness of human resources programs.
- Provide performance management guidance to managers including coaching, career development, and discipline.
- Manage the payroll department to ensure accurate processing of pay for salary and hourly employees including the administration of leave programs.
- Manage the Health and Safety function.
Requirements :
- 3-5 years’ experience as a Human Resources Manager or HR Business Partner / Generalist.
- Post-secondary education from an accredited institution in Human Resources is an asset.
- CHRP or CHRLP designation preferred.
- Strong organization and attention to detail
- Ability to handle confidential information
- Proficiency with MS Office including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel skills.
