Salary Range:$70,000 to $90,000
Responsibilities
- Act as a hands‑on Warehouse Manager who can step in when needed
- Analyze and propose methods for sustained productivity improvements
- Maximize cube fill rate on delivery vehicles, minimize delivery costs, and driver productivity
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and organized warehouse
- Ensure safe working conditions, including training employees on proper safety methods; assist HR with workers’ compensation claims
- Audit paperwork and postings for accuracy and compliance with local, provincial, and federal laws and company policies
- Manage collection, dispersal, and retention of drivers’ logs, fuel tax reports, accident files, and registers
- Counsel and manage employees on attendance, performance, and/or misconduct
- Oversee AS400 system for measuring pick accuracy and employee performance (cycle count, bin walk, etc.)
- Manage maintenance and repairs of all warehouse‑related equipment
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- 3–5 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience; Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
- Knowledge of local, provincial, and federal OHSA safety regulations
- Familiarity with DOT transportation regulations
- Experience in forklift certification and inspection, hazmat certification, and operating various warehouse equipment
- Experience in a union environment preferred
- Ability to lift heavy objects (60–75 lbs) with or without reasonable accommodation for an entire shift
- Ability to work regularly at heights up to 26 feet (with provided safety equipment and training)
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Flexible work schedule with a hands‑on management style
