Warehouse and Distribution Manager
WinstonBrock Recruitment, on behalf of our Hamilton Based Wholesale Distribution Client, is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor.
As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and accurate operation of the distribution and production center.
Key Responsibilities :
- Supervision : Lead by example and manage a team of 7 15 warehouse associates, providing guidance, support, and motivation to ensure optimal performance.
- Inventory Control : Oversee and maintain accurate inventory records. Implement and improve inventory management processes to minimize discrepancies.
- Order Fulfillment : Coordinate the picking, packing, and shipping of orders, ensuring on-time and accurate deliveries.
- Quality Assurance : Monitor and enforce quality control standards to guarantee the delivery of high-quality products.
- Safety Compliance : Promote and enforce safety procedures and regulations to create a safe working environment. Conduct regular safety training for warehouse staff.
- Efficiency Improvement : Identify opportunities for process improvement, optimization of workflow, and cost reduction within the warehouse.
- Resource Management : Manage and allocate resources effectively, including personnel, equipment, and space.
Qualifications :
- Three years experience in warehouse supervision.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
- Knowledge of inventory management software and warehouse systems.
- Forklift Certification.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
- Safety-conscious with knowledge of material handling best practices and safety protocols.
- Problem-solving skills to address operational challenges.
