About the Role

The Procurement Manager at DE is a vital role, responsible for supporting procurement and supply chain functions within the Corporate Services Department.

This individual will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of the procurement department, supporting our financial processes, and fostering a positive workplace culture.

The Procurement Manager will directly report to the Controller and collaborate closely with various departments across the organization.

In this role, you will be responsible for inventory management, cost control, sourcing, full cycle supply chain oversight, negotiation of contracts / prices, and leadership of our procurement team.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in negotiating, analytical and decision-making skills, and the ability to lead a team effectively in a dynamic environment.

Your ability to multitask, communicate effectively, and maintain a keen attention to detail will be instrumental to your success.

Your Impact

Full Cycle Supply Chain Management :

  • Oversee the entire supply chain process from procurement of raw materials to the delivery of the final product, ensuring smooth operations and timely fulfillment of orders.
  • Develop and implement strategies for inventory control to ensure optimal stock levels are maintained, minimizing overstock and out-of-stock incidents.
  • Lead, manage and supervise annual inventory counts.

Cost Controls :

  • Monitor and manage expenses related to procurement activities to align with company budgets and financial goals.
  • Implement cost-saving measures without compromising on quality or efficiency.

Sourcing Products and Vendors :

  • Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers and products that meet the company's standards for quality, cost, and reliability.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.

Negotiation of Contracts and Price :

  • Lead negotiations with suppliers and vendors to secure the best prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
  • Draft and review contracts to ensure they are favorable to the company.

Manage the Procurement Team :

Lead, train, and manage the procurement team, setting clear goals and expectations, and providing guidance and support to achieve them.

Perform other duties as assigned based upon business need.

About You

  • 5+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain management is required.
  • 2+ years of experience in supervisory or leadership role is required.
  • L2 Police background check will be required.
  • Bachelor's degree or college diploma in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field required.
  • Supply Chain Management Professional designation and experience in the technology integration or related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience using an ERP system is preferred.
  • Proven experience in managing inventories, cost controls, and supplier relationships.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of securing favorable terms.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and office management software.
  • Ability to work additional hours to meet business objectives.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
