Cultivation Supervisor – 18 Month Contract (Hope)

Responsibilities

The Cultivation Supervisor is responsible for overseeing assigned compartment and associated activities to ensure tasks are carried out according to established SOPs. This role is critical to maintaining a high quality, super-premium product through close monitoring of the plants throughout the lifecycle, supporting IPM (scouting / pest management) and fertigation activities, and communicating relevant findings to leadership. This role reports directly to the Senior Cultivation Manager and is based out of our Hope location.

• Ensure employees are compliant with all facility standard operating procedures including gowning, sanitation, workplace safety, confidentiality, and inventory traceability.
• Perform tasks related to the cultivation of cannabis, and train and oversee others in performing those tasks. Work with the Greenhouse Manager on the following :
• Defoliation events and harvests
• Pruning, topping, and bending events
• Sanitation, waste disposal, and room turn around
• Work with team members on scouting, pest monitoring, foliar and preventative sprays
• Manage employees to complete all activities listed above
• Monitor plant health daily; complete associated forms and checklists, identify and communicate all observations and concerns to the Senior Cultivation Manager
• Ensure compliance with inventory tracking of plants from clone through to harvest using the seed-to-sale software; conduct monthly inventory audits to ensure full traceability
• Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment
• Recommend process improvements to Greenhouse Manager to increase productivity while maintaining a high-quality product
• Monitor and support employee safety, morale and productivity
• Report any employee issues or safety concerns to the Senior Cultivation Manager
• Perform other duties as assigned.
