Role Impact :

The Human Resources Specialist play a central role in making people and culture CF’s competitive advantage. The incumbent works with all levels of the organization to provide full cycle recruitment support for their internal client groups.

They support other key people processes and programs including but not limited to employee / labour relations, talent management and organizational development.

This role is located in Toronto with internal client groups at CF locations primarily in Montreal area and Ontario. As such, the successful candidate must be available to travel accordingly and also be fully fluent in English and French to fully support their respective client groups.

This role dually reports into the Director Human Resources East and Director Human Resources Ontario.

What you will deliver :

  • Provide full cycle recruitment support to client groups for identified roles up to and including manager level. This may include candidate sourcing, screening , interviews, assessment & hiring decision support, background checks, offer preparation and related coordination and administration.
  • As subject matter expert, train and coach property hiring managers on their recruitment and hiring activity and using related technologies.
  • Coach hiring managers on creating inclusive onboarding plans and other tools to deliver a welcoming experience for new hires.

Coordinate and deliver and Welcome to CF orientation, introducing new hires to CF’s Purpose, Values and OneCF culture.

  • Lead or support coordination and facilitation of CF Building Leaders programming as needed.
  • Support HR business partner on complex and day to day employee / labour relations matters as needed, ensuring strictest confidence and alignment with CF processes, policy and / or local legislation.
  • Support HR business partner on the coordination, communication and delivery of key programs including regional Leadership Talent Reviews, Employee Engagement surveys and other CF programs aligned to a particular client group.
  • Promote, respond to queries and surface improvement opportunities for various policies, programs and processes related to the employee experience.
  • Engage in people and culture initiatives and change activities to enhance the employee experience and help make people and culture our competitive advantage.
  • Provides data-based insights to support decision making and guide improvement activities.
  • Present a professional, positive impression of Cadillac Fairview and the HR Team, with candidates, agencies and employees, in a manner consistent with CF values and employer brand.

What you need to succeed :

  • Post-secondary education or equivalent experience. CHRP certification an asset.
  • years professional experience, including full cycle recruitment experience. Experience in facilitating training programs.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge applicable employment legislation as they pertain to employee issues.
  • Experience with HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS). Intermediate proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Fluent in both English and French languages to support client groups.
  • Ability to regularly travel to CF locations in Montreal and Ontario and to job fair locations as needed .
  • Previous property, operations and / or client service experience an asset.
