As an accounting technician, you will have the opportunity to support the growth of our KPMG Family Office and assist our clients in their bookkeeping for both personally and corporately held investments.
Your strong organizational skills and resourcefulness will enable you to effectively manage the bookkeeping of multiple clients and ensure that KPMG clients receive superior service, all under the supervision of experienced colleagues.
What you will do
- Record daily business transactions such as cash receipts and disbursements. Maintain client files to ensure accurate and timely completion of returns and schedules
- Keep track of accounts receivable and accounts payable. Provide support to team members in related tasks
- Manage the reconciliation of bank accounts
- Prepare GST-QST reports
- Prepare T1, T3, T4-RL1 and T5
- Prepare interim and annual financial statements
- Maintain amortization plans for tangible capital assets
- Collect s , analyze s and summarize s account information for financial reporting purposes
- Ensure s that clients receive high quality service and act s as a key contact for all bookkeeping matters
What you bring to the role
- Post-secondary degree in accounting or a related field
- At least 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in an accounting firm
- Established experience in accounting cycle and balance sheet reconciliation
- Strong sense of customer service and adherence to the highest standards of professionalism
- Ability and interest in working in a growing business environment
- Professionalism in the execution of tasks
- High level of drive, enthusiasm and a positive attitude
- Ability to work under pressure
- Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively in teams
