An opportunity exists to engage in a diverse and high quality full time contracted General Surgery Practice in the NE area of Saskatchewan.
The Victoria Hospital serves a population of approximately 45,000 and is a referral center for the whole of Northern Saskatchewan.
Other surgical services include, General Surgery, ENT, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, Obstetrics and Gynecology. There is functional 8-bed intensive care unit.
Guaranteed weekly OR access and a generous amount of procedural time in the ambulatory care and endoscopy units will be available to the successful candidate upon arrival.
The program is complimented with a high quality anesthesiology program and a day surgery unit, which has extended hours for patient recovery.

The successful candidate will join our team to provide comprehensive general surgery services to the patients of North East Saskatchewan, based out of Prince Albert.
Will be required to provide Itinerant services to local hospital especially Nipawin at least 4 days a month. This service will include outpatient consultation, day-case procedures / surgeries and endoscopy.
24 / 7 Acute care (specialist on call) services will be provided in Prince Albert in collaboration with other members of the division on a 1 : 7 ratio.
The successful candidates will be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS).
This individual should be a team player, be able to interact effectively with patients, colleagues, staff and management, and function well in a high volume environment with a commitment to provision of high quality patient and family-centered care.
In accordance with immigration requirements, preference will be given to Canadian citizens or those who have Permanent Landed Resident status.
