Other duties as required by the instructor. The DDAH form will outline the duties in more detail. Note that this is an in person only course and therefore the TA must be able to commute to UTM on the days of the practicals.
Note that due to our new Departmental Policy, if a course has a final exam, the marking of such exams must occur at the UTM campus.
Minimum Qualifications Successful applicants will have : experience working on a crime scene following proper forensic protocols for establishing perimeters, safe zones, search strategies, recovering evidence, etc.
familiarity with biohazard protocols relating to decomposed and / or diseased tissues; completed or TAed undergraduate courses in forensic anthropology, osteology and archaeology.
Due to the need for the knowledge of the mock case background and previous excavations, a requirement of this position is that the candidate TA’ed in the August 2024 field school portion of the course.
Preferred Qualifications Candidates with previous training and marking experience are preferred.Relevant CriterionPrevious experience is the more relevant criterion than the need to acquire experience in respect of this posted position.
