Professor, Diagnostic Imaging Technology Program (Part-Time)

Sheridan is looking for outstanding individuals to join our faculty team in the Diagnostic Imaging Technology program. This advanced diploma program is the second of its kind in Ontario to offer specialized training in MRI, ultrasound or X-ray / CT. The School of Applied Health seeks a part-time professor to teach lectures and / or labs in semester one and / or two within the Diagnostic Imaging Technology program.

Sheridan professors are responsible for developing an effective learning environment for students while respecting their diverse cultural and educational backgrounds, experiences, and individual learning styles.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Delivering course curriculum in the classroom and / or online according to evidence and theory-based teaching and learning principles and in accordance with Sheridan Policies and Procedures;
• Engaging students in meaningful and student-centered academic experiences, while evaluating student progress / achievement and assuming responsibility for the overall assessment of the students’ work within assigned courses;
• Tutoring and academic counselling of students, while evaluating student progress / achievement and assuming responsibility for the overall assessment of the students’ work within assigned courses;
• Attending periodic faculty meetings;
• Performing other related duties as assigned.

First Nations peoples have lived on this part of Turtle Island for millennia, stewarding the land, the water and all that contributes to life in this region. Today, the culture and presence of First Nations, Inuit and Metis peoples enrich the lands and people of this territory.

Over two centuries ago, the Mississauga people welcomed settlers to this territory, providing sustenance and engaging in trade and commerce. Between 1781 to 1820, eight treaties were signed with the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation who opened their territory to settlement. Today, Sheridan campuses are located on Treaty 14, also known as the Head of the Lake Purchase of 1806 and Treaty 22 and 23 of 1820.
