At Chances Dawson Creek there is a full-service lottery terminal, and 152 slot machines including electronic blackjack and electronic roulette. Position Summary: A great opportunity is B4 you! Chances Dawson Creek is currently looking for a detail orientated Server ready to hit the ground running and be part of the Food and Beverage team.

Under the direction of the Food & Beverage Manager, this position will be responsible in establishing a safe and welcoming work environment. Duties and Responsibilities Include:

❖ Providing patrons with the best service possible in a professional manner

❖ Selling food and beverage with an upbeat and positive attitude

❖ Thorough knowledge of Food and Beverage items available in the facility

❖ Use of P.O.S. Micros system; Handling of cash and credit; balancing of sales at end of shift

❖ Cleaning of tables: clear dishes, empties and properly wiped down

❖ Making sure tables and chairs are organized in section

❖ Restocking, cleaning, and organizing of all related work equipment and areas

❖ Ongoing practice of Serving It Right

❖ Assist other co-workers as needed &/or directed

❖ Follow opening and closing server duties

❖ Adhering to all policies as they relate to functions of the position.

❖ Maintaining a professional, constructive, and supportive work environment with all Casino staff, by practicing open communication and effective team efforts

❖ Preserving Casino and guest confidentiality while at work and away from work

❖ Performing other duties as assigned or directed As a Successful Candidate

You will possess the following qualifications:

❖ High school diploma or GED equivalent

❖ Minimum one-year relevant experience in a high-volume environment

❖ Minimum one-year cash handling experience in a customer service position

❖ Ability to operate adding machines, currency counters and other related equipment

❖ Ability to successfully obtain a Criminal Record and Credit Check

❖ Working knowledge of computers

❖ Must be available to work all shifts including nights and weekends

❖ Ability to work under pressure, multi-task and meet stipulated deadlines

❖ Serving It Right certificate

❖ Previous Micros or other P.O.S. experience an asset

❖ Excellent customer service and people skills

❖ Professional attitude and appearance, strong interpersonal skills, and a team player

❖ Must possess excellent verbal, written and organizational skills

❖ Dependable and reliable with a demonstrated commitment to service excellence.
