Registered Nurse – Remote

Position Overview

Work from home as a Registered Nurse providing telephone triage and mental health, addiction and crisis intervention care to callers in Newfoundland and Labrador. The role serves the 811 HealthLine and the Mental Health Crisis Line using Schmitt‑Thompson protocols. Calls vary in subject matter and complexity. The position is available 24 / 7 / 365 and requires shift work including days, evenings, nights, split shifts, and holidays. Minimum point position is 0.6 FTE (48 hours over a 2‑week period); full-time positions up to 1.0 FTE (80 hours over a 2‑week period) are available.

Responsibilities

• Provide telephone triage and advice to callers to assist them in making timely medical decisions.
• Offer mental health support and crisis intervention for callers dealing with suicide, addictions, and crisis situations.
• Apply clinical judgement alongside established protocols to determine appropriate disposition and provide timely, accurate care.
• Promptly complete confidential medical records in accordance with company documentation standards.
• Deliver clear, concise information and guidance to callers during patient encounters.
