We’re looking for :
Are you ready to be part of a dynamic team in the automotive industry? OPENLANE, a leader in automotive remarketing, is looking for a Lot Team Lead with experience in coordinating vehicle inventory and supervising a small team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working at a dealership or similar organization, controlling vehicle inventory, and preparing vehicles for transport.

Organized. You will be responsible for maintaining an organized and orderly lot to ensure efficient operations, including completing regular inventory scans and reporting.
Team Oriented. As an integral part of our lot team, you will ensure an efficient flow of vehicles to support other departments’ workloads.
You will :
Be the team captain - ensuring the Lot team can complete their regular tasks and jumping in to assist where needed
Support the Operations (or Lot) Manager with training and coaching of Lot Assistants and lot drivers to ensure all Lot Operations tasks are completed to maintain an effective flow of inventory through the remarketing lifecycle
Assist the Operations (or Lot) Manager in monitoring and controlling conditions of all facilities, vehicles, property, and equipment under the Lot’s control for proper maintenance, cleanliness, and safety
Complete a variety of administrative tasks, including entering data, pulling reports, monitoring requests in the portal, and responding to customer and internal inquiries
Ensure vehicles are ready for auction and ensuring vehicles are in working order; accurately recording any services provided (fuel, tow, etc) to ensure accurate billing
Prepare vehicles to move through our remarketing system, including staging vehicles for reconditioning shops or transportation as well as moving, marking, flagging, and / or staging vehicles as instructed.
Photograph vehicles post-reconditioning services
Operate vehicles under various weather conditions and may be required to manually remove snow through various means (clearing vehicles of snow, light shoveling in the yard, operating plow truck, bobcat, loader, etc.)
Must Haves :
Valid Driver's License
Safety conscious
Basic computer & smartphone skills
Basic vehicle knowledge
Comfortable working outside in all weather conditions
Nice to Haves :
Ability to drive both standard & automatic transmissions
Familiarity with AMS, VTrace, or other OPENLANE systems is an asset
Qualified / Experienced in operating plow trucks, bobcats, loaders, and / or tow trucks
Basic mechanical aptitude
