THE MANAGER-IN TRAINING (MIT) PROGRAM WILL HELP PREPARE YOU FOR THE FOLLOWING RESPONSIBILITIES :
Maintaining open communication with all departments within the storeHaving a strong presence on the floor; being available and approachable; supporting our team of associatesTeam development; creating an environment of teamwork, support and collaborationLiaising with home office to share feedback and access information; ensuring associates and managers have access to the information they need to perform their jobs effectivelyTraining and people development; building a talent pool of future managersRecruitment : conducting interviews, hiring and onboarding; ensuring a positive, successful orientation process for new associatesResolving customer issues and providing a positive, seamless service experienceManaging daily store operations; ensuring company policies and procedures are metPreparing for and conducting effective and engaging meetingsSupporting the General Manager and other department managersActing as Duty Manager : responsible for opening / closing store, addressing high-level issues and providing on-site support to associates and customersAssisting in preparation and execution of promotions and eventsCompleting daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reportsManaging the flow of merchandise throughout the store; bringing in new products and clearing out discontinued merchandiseManaging merchandise that is not available for sale; addressing product concerns with vendors and buyersEnsuring general safety and security of store, associates, and customersOther duties as assignedThis is a phenomenal opportunity and steppingstone towards a long-term successful career with opportunities to progress to other store management positions as well as Regional Management Opportunities for those who aspire to broaden their horizons.
