Position Summary
The Branch Coordinator works cooperatively with the team to meet branch operations and profit goals.
Essential Duties
- Promotes and demonstrates Wurtec’s core values (dedicated, hardworking, ambitious, willing to accept responsibility, and integrity).
- Primary responsibilities include quoting, sales order input, picking and shipping activities, and loading trucks.
- Accountable for all branch activities when the Branch Manager or Assistant Branch Manager is unavailable.
- Coordinates and prioritizes the prompt transfer of inventory between branches.
- Loads and unloads trucks with a high level of care to maintain inventory accuracy and inspects product for damage or defects.
- Reviews and updates applicable reports and queues.
- Responsible for the recertification and coordination of all material and manages the tooling rental program.
- Handles the cut‑line process including picking, cutting, and shipping.
- Assists with branch audits and physical inventory, including stocking, picking, and shipping.
- Ensures that the counter, self‑serve, warehouse, and delivery areas are kept clean, organized, and safe.
- Operates a forklift and cut‑line machine.
- Operates all company vehicles and equipment safely and properly and performs all required equipment inspections.
- Exhibits a high level of professionalism and customer service when assisting customers with quoting, product availability, sales order processing, returns / defective material processing, product / transfer procurement, and providing technical support.
- Assists in increasing customer count, growing sales, and driving operational initiatives as directed.
- Helps ensure the branch is operated ethically and maintains a positive reputation in the community.
- Full‑time / in‑person attendance is an essential function of this job.

Technical Skills

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or a proven track record.Excellent customer service experience.Experience with supervising, training, and scheduling work assignments.Minimum of 1 year of wholesale distribution preferred.Work Environment
This role primarily operates in a warehouse environment that is not climate‑controlled. The noise level is described as moderate and may involve exposure to moving mechanical parts. Physical requirements include constant lifting up to 10 lbs., frequent lifting up to 50 lbs., and occasional lifts up to 100 lbs. The role requires walking, standing, kneeling, pushing, reaching, stooping / twisting, climbing, crouching, driving, grasping / gripping, picking / pinching, pulling, reaching overhead, and squatting. Near visual acuity and the ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech is required. Remote work is not available for this position.
